Every Parish Council meeting begins with a session when members of the public are free to raise any issues or concerns with Councillors. 

The meeting will be conducted in line with government recommendations to minimise the possibility of the risk of infection from coronavirus.  To keep the numbers of attendees to a minimum, members of the public are asked to contact the Clerk with any issues or concerns before the meeting if at all possible, and I will make sure that Councillors are fully briefed with the points you raise.  Please would you contact me by 12 noon on Thursday 19 November at the latest, so that I can ensure that full details are available for Councillors to discuss at that evening’s meeting.   Also, if you do intend to come to the meeting, again please let me know so that I can ensure there are papers available for you as papers cannot be shared.  Many thanks.

VACANCY FOR PART-TIME CLERK/RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER

Applications are invited for the above post which is shortly due to become vacant.  The hours are 10 per week, paid in accordance with the NALC guidelines and dependent on experience.  A background in local government would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be expected to work from home, and a laptop computer and printer will be provided to facilitate this.  The Clerk will be responsible for the day to day administration of the Parish Council, dealing with correspondence, preparing agendas and minutes, and attending Council meetings. The Clerk is also the Responsible Financial Officer of the Council and would be expected to prepare the financial records for audit, in accordance with the audit regulations which apply to Parish Councils.
